The first intake of students was admitted in 2015 with the graduation of this cohort expected in 2018 with an Associate of Science in the field of specialization and having completed a study plan that suits the needs related to the field of technology and the requirements of the labor market. It also allows the graduates to interact and integrateinto the technical community.
According to the decree of the Ministry of Higher Education No. 59480/4/42 and the decree of JU Council No. 8/5/1442, the “Associate of Science” degree had been modified and upgraded to be “Intermediate Diploma” degree to comply with the Saudi Standard Classification of Educational Specializations. The decree was in action since the start of Academic Year 2020/2021 (Fall 20211). Since then, the college has offered two diploma degrees: the Associate Diploma (one academic year) and the Intermediate Diploma (2 academic years). All of their courses are taught in English.
Associate Diploma: 1 Academic Year in English language.
Intermediate Doploma: 2 Academic Years in English language.
The curriculums were designed to give the student sufficient and balanced units in each discipline through a set of courses that are indispensable for students and that provide the technical engineering foundation for the graduates. It is worth noting that the curriculums take into account the great importance of English language and communication skills as a requirement for the work environment.
CAIT's academic programs offer a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge combined with Cooperative training (COOP 1 and COOP 2), with the aim of meeting the needs of our industrial partners.
The College of Applied Industrial Tecnology (CAIT) is one of the colleges of Jazan University (JU), but it has a distinct vision and mission, which is consistent with the mission and vision of Jazan University, which is establishing partnerships with industrial sectors located in the Jazan Economic City (JEC). Hence, it must be emphasized that partnerships and cooperation with the industry are among the strategic goals of the college’s academic programs.
