President of Jazan University: Faculty members are an integral part of the educational process

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, emphasized that the university’s faculty members are the basis for building knowledge and an active part in the educational process, and they must be keen to develop their skills and encourage their students to think and initiate dialogue as well as make the student the focus of the educational process.

This came during the introductory meeting for the new faculty members, which was organized by the Deanship of Academic Development at the university in the auditorium of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology and Engineering, in the presence of the University’s vice presidents and deans of the faculties.

His Excellency the President of the University pointed towards the importance of developing the capabilities and skills of faculty members through the programs held by the Deanship of Academic Development, which are concerned with scientific and specialized aspects through research, initiatives and training workshops, and creating all capabilities for new faculty members to facilitate their enrollment in academic departments at the university.

At the beginning of the meeting, the acting Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muhammad Abu Rasin, welcomed the new faculty members, stressing the importance of applying the concepts and practices of continuous development of their professional capabilities in order to improve the quality of the university’s graduates, in order to make them eligible and competitive for the labour market.

After that, His Excellency the President of the University and the Vice Presidents of the University held an open discussion session with the new faculty members, and listened to their demands and aspirations to improve the quality of the university's graduates.

This was followed by an open discussion moderated by the Dean, Deanship of Academic Development, Dr. Ali Hindi, in addition to discussing all the needs of the new faculty members and their likes who recently joined the university.
