Within the framework of Jazan University's vision, which a line with2030 Vision goals to achieve a sustainable development, the Community Service Unit at the University College of Al-Darb launched a series of awareness and training programs as part of Zarqaa Initiative to rationalize water consumption. The college hosted its first workshop, titled "Zarqaa Initiative: Steps Towards Better Use of Water," attended by a number of faculty members and students. The workshop discussed the most prominent causes of water waste, ways to rationalize consumption, and the importance of raising community awareness about better water use. The workshop emphasized the need to adopt a sustainable practice in daily life, which contributes to achieving environmental development goals and preserving natural resources for future generations. This initiative is part of the University College of Al-Darb's efforts to enhance its societal role and activate partnerships with the local community on environmental and development issues, consistent with the Kingdom's aspirations for a more sustainable future.
