Within 6 weeks, 4828 benefit from Jazan University’s dental clinics
The clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry at Jazan University provided treatments and services to citizens and residents. Over 4,828 visitors to the specialized clinics have benefited from them since the beginning of the school year, with an average of 165 beneficiaries per day. All safety standards and precautionary measures were followed to ensure the safety of patients, doctors and employees.
The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Haitham Faqih, stated that since the beginning of the academic year, the college has received more than 4,828 patients, informing that the college includes a number of departments, including: the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Department of Dental Protection Sciences, the Department of Dental Repair Sciences, in addition to the Department of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Faqih affirmed that the college provides therapeutic services to all citizens and residents through its 287 clinics employing 37 distinguished doctors, in addition to 279 internship students who undertake their practicals and training within the clinics.
Dr. Faqih indicated that the procedures for emergency cases are treated directly by the internship physicians and then transferred to complete treatment in the specialized departments within the clinics.
Cases are sorted after diagnosis based on the urgency of the case and the type of treatment, under the supervision of faculty members in various disciplines such as oral surgery, neurotherapy, fixed and movable prostheses, periodontal treatment, conservative treatment or fillings, oral medicine and pediatric dentistry.
