Jazan University hosts the Forum on Business Innovation System

Jazan University hosted the "Forum of the National Business Innovation System in the Southern Region" organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority, from 9-11 November 2021, which brought together in its sessions over three days, 20 government agencies, major companies and universities; to discuss ways of cooperation in supporting innovative facilities in the southern cities of the Kingdom.

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, welcomed the participants. He stated that the forum is a catalyst for exchanging experiences and knowledge in development fields that will have a sustainable impact on the national economy based on knowledge and innovation, indicating that the university is pleased to host the forum to support and stimulate everything that would advance the development and innovation wheel of national projects.

The Supervisor of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Jazan University, Dr. Omaima Al-Badri, gave the university's welcome address, in which she welcomed the team of the Facilities Authority and the guests of the National Business Innovation System Forum in the southern region, including universities, companies, and financial sectors.

It is noteworthy that the National Commercial Innovation System is a strategic project organized by the General Administration of Innovation at the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at), which is responsible for identifying the most important Saudi entities that form a support system for innovative entrepreneurs and innovative enterprises and then providing incentive packages for each entity according to its needs.
