Jazan University Council appoints 10 and approves scholarships of 38 faculty members

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, chaired the University Council meeting in its third session for the academic year 1444 AH this morning in the Administrative Tower, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, Secretary-General for Universities Council Affairs, Excellencies the University Vice Presidents, Deans, vice deans of colleges and supporting deanships.
The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, explained that the Council took a number of decisions, most notably: the appointment of a number of Saudi faculty members, 1 to the rank of assistant professor, 9 as lecturers, and the approval of scholarships a number of (38) teaching assistants and lecturers, male and female to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in various specializations. Scientific degrees are to be awarded to (8) postgraduate students, annual report of the university was approved for the academic year 1443 AH. Recommendations were made for the merging of the departments (public law) and (private law) into one department under the name of the department (law) at the College of Sharia and Law, and approving the executive rules of the regulations governing postgraduate studies At Jazan University, and approval of the re-formation of the Scientific Council for a period of two years for the new session (1444-1446 AH), approval of the re-formation of the Standing Committee for Scholarship and Training for a year, approval of the re-formation of the Standing Committee of Teaching Assistants, Lecturers, Language Teachers and Research Assistants for a year, and approval of adding two members to Membership of the Standing Committee for review and approval of some research and academic topics.
