Jazan University signs an agreement with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission to accredit 16 academic programs

On Monday morning, December 6, 2021, the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, signed an agreement to accredit 16 academic programs at Jazan University. His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Commission, Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, and His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussain Al-Qahtani, were present at the signing of the agreement in the meeting room of the administrative tower in the University City in Jazan.
These agreements come within the partnership and integration between the Ministry of Education, the Education and Training Evaluation Commission and Saudi universities in improving the quality and efficiency of education and training upto the highest international levels. The aim is to achieve the goals of the “Human Capability Development Program”, one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and enhancing alignment with the requirements of the labor market, thus increasing the confidence of the Institutions’ graduates and contribute to improving the ranking of the Kingdom's universities at the global level.
Jazan University was represented at the signing by the University's Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Naief Azyabi, and the authority was represented by the Director General of the Program Accreditation Administration, Dr. Bandar Al-Khayal, where 16 agreements were signed to accredit an academic program at the master’s and bachelor’s levels, namely:
Bachelor of Law at the College of Sharia and Law, Bachelor of Computer Science at University College in Sabya, Bachelor of Emergency and Emergency Medicine, Bachelor of Respiratory Therapy at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Bachelor of Health Informatics, and Bachelor of Health Education at College of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Bachelor of Business Administration at the University College in Darb, Bachelor of Accounting at University College in Sabya, Bachelor of Marketing and E-commerce at University College in Abu Arish, Bachelor of Management Information Systems, Bachelor of Finance and Banking at the College of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arabic Language, and Bachelor of Journalism and Media at the College Arts and Humanities, and contracts for programs for postgraduate studies were signed, including: Masters in Psychological Counseling, Masters in Educational Administration, and Masters in Curricula and Teaching Methods at the College of Education.
For his part, the Dean of Academic Development, Dr. Ali Hindi said that the signing of the agreement for the third phase of program accreditation is an extension of the quality process that the university has accomplished by accrediting 14 programs, stressing the keenness of its employees to raise the level of the educational process, ensure competition and quality of its programs and graduates by preparing them for the future and keeping pace with labor market changes by promoting and developing basic skills and developing knowledge in various fields.
