Jazan University President inaugurates the “Technology and Citizenship Week” at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, inaugurated the activities of the Technology and Citizenship Week organized by the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the college campus yesterday morning, in the presence of the university’s representatives. He also listened to an explanation of the pillars of the exhibition accompanying the events, which included graduation projects in the research track and the applied track by students of the college.

The Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Basem Abu Mismar, stressed the importance of promoting the concept of digital citizenship, which is defined as a set of guiding principles that help to display a sense of responsibility, awareness and wisdom when using technology among individuals in the digital community, a concept that technology users must know to utilize consciously and wisely.

After that, Dr. Al-Qahtani attended the “Digital Citizenship” lecture, which was presented by the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Ahmed Faqihi, and the Vice Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology for the female section, Dr. Ishraq Refai.
