His Excellency the Jazan University President inaugurates the Leadership Development Program

His Excellency Jazan University President, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, inaugurated the “Leadership Development Program of Jazan University,” which includes three initiatives: the Professional Certificate in Academic Leadership, the Professional Certificate in Administrative Leadership, and the Jazan University initiative to develop regional leaders. This was organized by the University Vice Presidency for Development and Entrepreneurship at the auditorium of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology this morning, in the presence of the University's vice presidents, deans of faculties and supporting deanships.
His Excellency the President of the University stressed that the development of human capabilities is a strategic goal in the University's plan, which is keen to put human development first, as the employee carries the university's educational mission, implements its administrative plans, and make its development, research and community projects successful.
His Excellency indicated that the establishment of the "Future Leaders Unit" stems from the university's keenness to focus on developing leaders in the academic and administrative aspects and to rely on an approved methodology in developing the skills of the leader who would raise the University's productivity through their performance.
His Excellency pointed out that Jazan University's initiative to develop the region's leaders through the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education is part of our objective to collaborate with community organizations in various authorities in the region, and an affirmation of strengthening its important role in community development.
The Supervisor of the Future Leaders Unit, Dr. Ibrahim Bakri, stated that the Leadership Development Program comes in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 as well as the University’s strategic plan. The aim is to develop the skills and capabilities of the University leaders and to appreciate their efforts and achievements.
Dr. Al-Bakri reviewed the methodologies adopted in the design of the program, in addition to the main components of the program of construction, development and excellence, and the development tools used by the program.
