Jazan University: Media Department

His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad bin Abdulaziz, Acting Governor of Jazan Region, sponsored today in his office in the governorate, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Jazan University and Civil Defense Directorate. The University was represented by the President, Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, and the Civil Defense Directorate in the region was represented by the Director-General of Civil Defense in Jazan Major General Dr. Abdullah Bin Ayed AlShehri.
His Highness, the Acting Governor of Jazan, stressed the importance of the role of the university and civil defense in supporting several social and development initiatives, through the implementation of many programs directed to serve the community.

University President Dr. Mar’ei Al-Qahtani explained that the memorandum of understanding is part of the effort by the University to consolidate its role in the community and to confirm its mission aimed at serving development in the region. The Director-General of Civil Defense Major General Dr. Abdullah Al-Shehri pointed to the importance of signing an agreement of understanding with the university in a number of areas that serve the community, the most important of which is the consolidation of the concept of safety and steps to make it part of a person’s behavior and way of life, which in turn will create awareness and this shall secure the lives of people and will lead to preservation of property.

At the conclusion of the signing of the memorandum of understanding, His Highness, the Acting Governor of Jazan, praised the efforts made by the employees and students of Jazan University and the Directorate of Civil Defense, including the signing of these agreements and the implementation of programs aimed at serving the sons and daughters of the region and the Kingdom in general.
He stressed the need for permanent cooperation between the various service and security agencies to provide everything that is beneficial to all.
