A Forum of Heads of Scientific Departments “Track 2” was organized by the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs and sponsored by His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani.  The forum was held at the Business administration auditorium this morning, in the presence of the University’s Vice Presidents and Heads of scientific departments at the university. The objective is to prepare study plans to keep pace with the changes and that are compatible with the labor market requirements and in accordance with Vision 2030. In addition, emphasis would be on developing students’ skills and attention to be given to their creative side with studies through the three-semester system.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, explained that the forum aimed to discuss the safe attendance of students, and the transition to the three-semester system, noting that the results and recommendations of the forum enrich the scientific departments through submitted scientific papers and sharing of distinguished practices and experiences.

The Forum included paper presentations by Dr. Ghaleb Suwaidi, the President’s Adviser for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ali Hindi, Dean of Academic Development. Later on, paper on trimester system was presented by Dr. Ahmed Masmali, Dr. Fatima Daghreiry, Ms. Jamila Al-Zahrani, while Dr. Zainab Mubaraki spoke about the importance of immunization and the safety of university students. The second session dealt with the role of scientific departments in preparing students for a safe return, presented by Dr. Fatima Break, Dr. Yahya Mubaraki and Ms. Amani Bosily.
