500 freshmen attend orientation on first day that was inaugurated by Vice President for Academic Affairs
Jazan University Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, inaugurated the “New Students Preparation Week,” which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs this morning at the College of Science. They were among other things, introduced to Libraries and student club units.
Coinciding with that, the Vice President for Student Affairs (Female Section), Dr. Fatima Aqili, inaugurated the activities of the introductory exhibition for new students at the Academic Complex, Mahliyya, in the presence of the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, (Female section), Dr. Ashwaq Al-Bakri.
Dr. Ishaq indicated that the exhibition is an opportunity for every male and female student to explore their skills and discover the creative aspects of their personalities, in addition to informing them about the university’s bylaws and regulations and as they need to know their rights and duties. He also welcomed the new students; wishing them an academic year of hard work, diligence, creativity and excellence.
While the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities, Dr. Walid Al-Salihi, explained that more than 500 students joined the first day of the exhibition, where the students were received through the Deanship’s website before the start of the university year, stressing that student clubs provide students with the opportunity to practice non-academic activities and help them integrate into the university community.
