President of Jazan University: Faculty members play an active part in the educational process

His Excellency the Jazan University President, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, emphasized that the University’s faculty members are the basis for disseminating knowledge and play an active part in the educational process. Hence, they must also be keen to develop their skills and encourage their students to think and communicate and make the students the focus of the educational process.

This came during the meeting organized by the Deanship of Academic Development at the University, held for the new faculty members at the Faculties of Arts and Community Auditorium this morning, in the presence of the University’s Vice Presidents and deans of the faculties.

His Excellency the President of the University stressed on the importance of developing the capabilities and skills of faculty members through the programs conducted by the Deanship of Academic Development, which deal with scientific and specialized aspects through research, initiatives and training workshops. These skills would help to develop the capabilities of new faculty members and facilitate the commencement of their work in academic departments at the university.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Naief Azyabi, welcomed the new faculty members in the university, stressing the application of the concepts and practices of continuous development of their professional capabilities in order to improve the quality of the university’s graduates, which contributes towards creating an appropriate university environment and skilled graduates competent for the labor market.

After that, His Excellency the President and Vice Presidents held an open discussion with the new faculty members, listening to their requests and aspirations to improve the quality of the university’s graduates.

This was followed by an open dialog moderated by the Dean of the Deanship of Academic Development, Dr. Ali Hindi, in addition to a discussion of matters of interest relevant to the new faculty members.
