Jazan University organizes a panel discussion on the new academic calendar

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, confirmed that the updates recently approved by the Ministry of Education are an indication that concerted efforts are being made to develop the educational system. Dr. Al-Qahtani informed that there are also updates related to various educational aspects, including curriculum development and the study mechanism that will be present starting next year.

This came during his sponsorship of the panel discussion on “The new academic calendar: future and gains”, which was organized by the University on Sunday morning at the Faculties of Arts and Humanities auditorium, in the presence of the University’s vice presidents and a number of its employees and employees of the education departments in the region.

Dr. Al-Qahtani explained that the University will keep pace with these updates and will work hard through its plans and academic decisions in accordance with the educational policy in the Kingdom, which seeks to be supportive of Vision 2030.

The discussion session moderated by the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, began with a scientific paper presented by the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Jabbari on the stages of development that the educational system underwent in the Kingdom since the era of the founder, King Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God have mercy on him up to the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his trustworthy Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman, may God protect them.

The Dean of the University College in Al-Darb, Dr. Omaima AbdulWahab Radhwan, discussed the impact of modifying the new academic calendar on developing human capabilities, which will be reflected in the future capabilities of our sons and daughters, students.

For her part, a member of the faculty at the College of Education, Dr. Ghada Abdel Karim Zailai, presented a conceptual vision for the return of in-person classes after the pandemic and the importance of family awareness to support the educational system.

The discussion ended with a scientific paper on the hoped-for and complementary role between the family and the school, presented by the Head of the Psychology Department at the College of Education, Dr. Hassan Idris Sumaili.
