The summer semester classes have started at Jazan University for the year 1442 AH after the end of the electronic registration stage for students. The total number of registered students reached 9426 students at the University’s faculties.

The Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Ahmed Faqihi, explained that studies have commenced since the beginning of the week, after students registered electronically through the academic system and according to the offered courses and available seats.

Dr. Faqihi pointed out that the total number of courses offered are 357, while the number of people reached 805, and a number of professors who total 229 lectures in a number of specializations and academic programs, and that a maximum of 12 hours has been set for graduate students and 10 hours for non-graduates. The registration also included visiting students from the University’s headquarters, as well as from other universities.

Dr. Faqihi stated that the summer semester shall end on the 5^th of Dhul-Hijjah, while stressing on the importance of students adhering to the schedule mentioned in the academic calendar for the summer semester.
