Jazan University, represented by the Deanship of Admission and Registration, announced the opening dates for the online portal to receive applications for admission to the university for the next academic year 1443 AH for the Bachelor’s degree programs, diplomas of community colleges and industrial applications, and paid qualifying diplomas.

The Dean of Admission and Registration at the University, Dr. Ahmed bin Yahya Faqihi, explained that the first stage will be for the Bachelor’s programs and the Diplomas of the Community College and the Industrial Applications, as the online applications will be accepted from the 24^th of Dhul-Qi’dah until the 29^th of the same month.

Faqihi indicated that the percentage eligible for specializations will be calculated according to the percentages: (30% the cumulative average for high school, 30% for the general aptitude test, 40% for the entrance test), and the weighted percentage will be calculated according to the equation (40% for the GPA for high school, and 60% for the aptitude test). The results of the tests for applicants will be updated automatically through the University’s website.

Dr. Faqihi informed that the results of the shortlisted candidates to bachelor’s programs, community college diplomas and industrial applications will be announced on 2^nd Dhul-Hijjah, and candidates for admission must confirm acceptance by 4^th Dhul-Hijjah. The Deanship provides the service of adjusting admission to vacant seats online from 5^th to 7^th Dhul-Hijjah.

While the Dean of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, Dr. Yahya bin Ali Faqihi, explained that the second phase will be devoted to submitting applications for admission to qualifying diplomas, which are programs with “tuition fees” for high school graduates, whose academic duration ranges from one to two years, adding that an online portal will be opened to join these Diplomas starting from the 16^th Dhul-Hijjah until the 20^th of the same month, and the selection process will be based on the GPA of high school and the year of obtaining it.

Dr. Faqihi confirmed that the final list of selected candidates for pre-paid diplomas will be announced on Monday 23^rd Dhul-Hijjah, and the last date for confirmation of admission will be 25^th of Dhul-Hijjah. He also mentioned that the deadline for payment of tuition fees for those admitted will be on Wednesday 3^rd Muharram 1443AH.

It is noteworthy that the University has dedicated a team to respond to admission inquiries and to help solve all difficulties that students may face through the technical support system on the admission portal.
