To raise the level of students of the University College in Al-Ardah and develop their ability to compete in the labor market, the Student Activity Unit at  organized a lecture entitled “Developing English Language Skills for Beginners” on Monday, 20/9/2021 AH, presented by the lecturer Farah Shakil in the Department of English and in the presence of 20 students from different departments of the college. The aim of the workshop was to encourage students to learn ways to improve their English language, > and highlight the reasons why students find it difficult to speak English

The course also focused on the importance of the English language in various fields, including education, commerce, management, and the importance of learning the skill of listening and reading, and emphasized the interest in these skills to develop writing and speaking skills, and emphasized some important tips for developing these skills and encouraging them to learn the language in the way they prefer, such as things that are practiced every morning , for example, watching English news, reading magazines and listening to audio programs in English.

It also stressed that English language learners should remain motivated and not be afraid of making mistakes. Many tips on improving language weaknesses were discussed, and the workshop concluded with some English games, exercises and competitions that motivated the students to learn English. The course was highly acclaimed by the students who demanded the repetition of such training courses, which develop the skills of the students.
