A seminar on the effectiveness of quality and accreditation of engineering programs

The College of Engineering at Jazan University, represented by the Vice Deanship for Development, organized a seminar entitled “Quality and Accreditation of Engineering Programs” on the occasion of the International Quality Day 2020, in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship and a number of guests and attendees from the faculty.

The event began with a presentation on the college, international academic accreditation ABET and the quality of engineering programs presented by the College Vice Dean for Development, Dr. Abdullatif Bashiri, in which he reviewed the objectives of his Department and its various units, as well as what has been done in the accreditation project and what will be worked on during the coming period of the 2021.

After that, a faculty member at Najran University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharjabi, “through video communication technology” presented a paper on the quality of academic programs in accordance with the requirements of international accreditation ABET and its most important standards and features.

After that, Jazan University Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan Ishaq, delivered a speech in which he stressed the excellence of the College of Engineering’s spirit of teamwork, stressing the need for continuity of excellence as well as achieving ABET academic accreditation requirements.

While the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Naief Azyabi, confirmed that the university views the College of Engineering as the first house of expertise, praising the harmony among its team members through what has been done and what is being worked on in the quality and development aspects of the college.

At the end of the event, distinguished faculty members were honored for their work in quality and development. The college also presented mementos to the University's Vice Presidents for academic affairs, development and entrepreneurship for their attendance and honor them for their presence.
