Jazan University trains 1150 teachers on e-learning

The Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology at Jazan University implemented a training program entitled “Principles of Successful E-Learning” yesterday evening. Over 1150 teachers from the Jazan and Sabya Education Departments benefited, as part of the e-learning initiative for general education in partnership with the two departments of education.

The Dean of the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology at the University, Dr. Ibrahim bin Ahmed Ghashim, explained that the initiative includes many training programs that aim to enhance the skills of faculty members with regard to the styles, tools and advantages of e-learning and how to effectively benefit from it. Since e-learning has taken on even more significance due to the Coronavirus pandemic that affected all countries of the world. Dr. Ghashim informed that the initiative was supported by His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, based on the university’s mission and its role in developing and serving society, and it coincided with the celebration of the International Day of Teachers 2020.

Dr. Ghashim added that the Deanship provided the opportunity to attend the training program through the registration links for the two departments of Jizan and Sabya. All registered attendees will be given training certificates for the programs provided by the Deanship. The university represented by the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology has established these programs emulating the efforts of the Ministry of Education regarding the future of E-learning, which has become a strategic choice and the Kingdom has succeeded in implementing it with outstanding quality and effectiveness.
