Jazan University and the Education & Training Evaluation Commission sign program accreditation contracts

Jazan University signed with the Education & Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, a number of program accreditation contracts. At the agreement signing were present, His Excellency the Chairman of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, Dr.Hossam bin Abdul Wahhab Zaman, and His Excellency the President of Jazan University Professor Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, and in the presence of the university’s Vice Presidents, officials and a number of deans and vice deans.

His Excellency Dr. Hussam Zaman praised the achievements of the University in record time in terms of accreditation, beginning with obtaining full institutional accreditation, in addition to the accreditation of programs and in the quality of its graduates, stressing that it is a strategic direction for the university. Dr. Hussam congratulated the University employees and the teams in the University Vice Presidency for Development and Entrepreneurship and the Deanship of Academic Development for their distinctive and advanced efforts in the field of accreditation. He mentioned the keenness of the University administration headed by Dr. Mar’ei Al-Qahtani to spread the culture of quality in order to approve the programs from the commission, to develop them and to ensure the quality of graduates.

His Excellency the President of Jazan University explained that the agreement included contracts for a number of programs, including the Computer and Network Engineering Program at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, the Pharmacy Program at the College of Pharmacy, the English Language Program at the College of Arts and Humanities, the Epidemiology Program at the College of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and the Sharia Program at the College of Sharia and law.

Dr. Al-Qahtani pointed out that the aim of signing these contracts is to broaden the culture of academic accreditation and quality, and to improve performance, stressing that institutional and program accreditation is a qualitative addition to the University that will enhance quality of its graduates and improve the performance and efficiency of colleges.
