Dr. Al-Sudairy lauds Jazan University for its exceptional role in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic

The Deputy Minister of Education for Universities, Research and Innovation Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Sudairy extended his thanks and appreciation to Jazan University for its prompt handling of the Coronavirus pandemic. The University through the role of the University Hospital and the isolation buildings that were allocated by the administration to deal with cases of Coronavirus Covid-19 effectively helped in controlling the cases. The University also published daily reports with its efforts related to confronting the Coronavirus pandemic and helped to create awareness to reduce the spread of the virus.

Dr Al-Sudairy stated that Jazan University has contributed greatly towards assisting the ministry’s efforts in addressing the Coronavirus pandemic and performing its national duty, with the follow-up of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, and the University employees team.

On his part, His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, expressed his deep pride and thanks to His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hammad Al-Sheikh, and to His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Education for Universities, Research and Innovation Dr. Muhammad Al-Sudairy for their continuous support for the University and its employees. He mentioned that all credit goes to the efforts of the University Vice Presidencies, Deanships, Colleges and Departments concerned and their keenness to carry out their assigned work diligently helped us to accomplish and perform as required. It is noteworthy that Jazan University has submitted 200 daily reports since the start of the pandemic until the 24th of last month, and prepared precautionary plans for all its facilities, and launched health, volunteer and research teams for this purpose. The University also achieved an advanced position in research, as it made it to the top 10 Universities in Coronavirus related research, according to the report issued by the National Observatory for Research, Development and Innovation at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
