The Deanship of Academic Development conducts a training course on Student Assessment methods

The Deanship of Academic Development conducted the first of its courses in its annual training plan, entitled “Methods of Student Assessment”. It will be held for three days, four hours per day through “Zoom” with 500 University faculty members attending. This course will be held as per the directions of the Acting Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan Ishaq.

The workshop was presented by a team of university specialists representing various disciplines, including the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering.

The course aims to train faculty members on methods of evaluating students through a number of axes, most notably: evaluation principles, quality assurance of evaluation, evaluation design process, analysis of evaluation results, preparation of reports, and the importance of feedback.

The Courses will focus on developing the capabilities of faculty members in the field of teaching and learning, quality and academic accreditation, in addition to personal and scientific research skills.
