His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, directed the assignment of the tasks and powers of the directors of departments in the university and its affiliated units, stressing the importance of developing the administrative work system and promoting the spirit of creativity and innovation to meet the administrative and organizational challenges imposed by the changing times.

This came during his sponsorship this morning, Tuesday, of the meeting of the directors of the university’s departments in the Faculties of Arts and Community Auditorium, in the presence of the University’s Vice President, Prof. Muhammad Ma’ashi, and the Dean of Human Resources, Dr. Mansour Awaji.

During the meeting, His Excellency stressed the importance of early preparation for the start of the new academic year, and prior planning for the tasks that directors of departments must implement to ensure a safe return to in-person classes, in accordance with the procedures and protocols for preventing the outbreak of the Coronavirus. He praised the excellence of a number of university administrations during the last session in organizing work mechanisms, raising the level of performance, and creating effective communication with the beneficiaries of the university’s services.

His Excellency pointed out that the university has achieved outstanding success and made great strides in adopting quality in all its academic and administrative practices, and that the next phase will witness the implementation of many initiatives and programs to raise administrative performance in order to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership – may God protect him – and the university’s mission and pioneering role in human resources and regional development.
