Under the patronage of the Dean of the University College in Al-Ardah, Dr. Marwa Muhammad Bakri, the Quality Unit at the College organized a workshop entitled “Quality is Excellence and Achievements”, coinciding with the celebration of the International Day for Quality 2020, for which the United Nations allocated a day in 1990 AD in November of each year to raise awareness of the importance of quality And its contribution to the advancement of countries, facilities and organizations around the world, and work to raise awareness of how quality methods can make tangible changes to them, and to celebrate their achievements.

The workshop was presented by the coordinator of the Quality Unit, Dr. Nahla Beirdada, where she addressed the definition of quality, its mechanisms, foundations, concepts of application and its importance in the educational process. The Dean of the College also emphasized in her speech the importance of adopting a quality policy in universities and departments, and that quality has standards that must be met for the development of any institution and the improvement of its performance.

The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs pointed out the need for the student to be an active element in the quality assurance system in the academic work,.  All quality processes are focused on a main goal, which is to enable female graduates to excel in the field of practical life and actual practices, she added. The Vice Dean for Development also explained a number of topics The most relevant ones are: - The concept of academic accreditation and its importance in higher education - Standards of the National Authority for Academic Accreditation - Requirements for programmatic qualification - Steps to conduct a self-study. She also stressed on discovering the strengths and weaknesses in order to improve the process. At the end of the ceremony, a group of faculty members and female employees were honored for their effective contributions in the celebration of the International Day for Quality.
