We in the Department of Mathematics love this science and know its value and owe it thanks for what it has given to humanity. Thanks to it, man was able to build skyscrapers on the earth, reach the moon and measure the sizes of planets and the light distance between stars. With his symbols, Einstein wrote his most famous equations and Newton solved many problems in physics Muslims boasted of Ibn al-Haytham and al-Khwarizmi. With it, humanity has reached the digital world, artificial intelligence, the speed of data transmission, information exchange, and keeping secrets with encryption. By it the entire world economy is measured, countries know their national product, the future is predicted, and countries' budgets are adopted. It solves problems, studies possibilities, and accurately proves theories, writes algorithms, and arrives at a conclusion in more than one way. He is credited with analyzing the results of studies in various sciences. Mathematics is the language of science and on it depends most of the sciences such as physics, chemistry, computer science or medicine and others. And this simple summary is only the tip of the iceberg and a small part of the secret of our love for mathematics and its branches.
We all in the Department of Mathematics share this love for mathematics and are aware of the important role of this science and we make the effort and harness the full potentials provided by Jazan University in the light of the directives of His Excellency the Rector of the University, Prof. Marei bin Hussein Muhammad Al-Qahtani, may God protect him, in order to improve the department’s outputs and provide an educational environment stimulating creativity and scientific research and achieving the goals of Vision 2030 in education.
