The Department of Chemistry at Samtah University College organized a workshop entitled “Preparation for the Standardized Test” presented by Dr. Manal Rikabi. The workshop aimed to prepare the registered students for the standardized test, which will be held on 2/15/2022. The students were made aware of what the standard test is, its objectives, and the expected date for it, and they were provided with all the information they need to know about the standard test for the Bachelor of Chemistry program. The university's vision for the standardized test was also clarified, through which the university aims to raise the level of Jazan University graduates to compete in the labor market. It was noted during the workshop about the standard test link on the website of the Chemistry Department at the University College in Samtah Governorate, in which the student will find all the information related to the standard test. The general form of the test, the mechanism for answering the questions, and the incentives offered to the students to encourage them to pass the standard test, the most important of which is giving the student a document stating that she has passed the standard test for the specialization program, and honoring the female students who achieved the first places. Models of international tests were presented for training purposes. The mechanism of scientific support for female students provided by the department was also reviewed by specifying a member in each branch of chemistry for reference in any inquiry while preparing for the standard test. At the end of the workshop, Dr. Manal motivated the students to prepare for the test and urged them to strive constantly to enrich their knowledge and academic experiences. During the meeting, a number of questions related to the test were asked, and all their questions were answered.
