The Master of Science in Civil Engineering program plays a vital role in preparing expert civil engineers and specialized researchers who contribute to national infrastructure development, sustainable urban development, and economic growth in the Kingdom. Objectives
In addition to the general objectives stated in Article Four of the Unified Regulations for Graduate Studies in Universities, the Master of Science in Civil Engineering program aims to achieve the following objectives:
1. Advanced academic and professional development by providing specialized scientific personnel in various civil engineering tracks of the proposed program to achieve self-sufficiency in the future, prepare graduates for successful research, development, and leadership careers in industry, energy, and academic sectors, and develop and enrich the existing bachelor’s program in Civil Engineering.
2. Scientific research and innovation by enriching and consolidating current scientific concepts by conducting studies and research in various construction and building fields using the latest technologies, conducting advanced scientific research, providing specialized engineering consulting services, and participating in adopting advanced technologies and providing innovations in civil engineering fields
3. Interdisciplinary collaboration that serve the local and regional community in infrastructure development, and enhance communication and cooperation with the community, and build regional and international partnerships along with achieving scientific and research cooperation between Jazan University and other universities domestically and internationally through implementing joint scientific research and projects
4. Community service and sustainable development by preparing graduates for effective participation in various construction and building fields in Saudi Arabia, contributing effectively to the sustainable development of Saudi society, and applying environmental sustainability principles in designing and implementing civil engineering projects and managing their resources.
