Strategic Goals
Purpose/Aim of Program. 1. Providing graduates with advanced knowledge and developing practical and technical skills in various fields of civil engineering. 2. Encouraging graduates to conduct innovative scientific research that contributes to solving complex engineering problems related to civil engineering. 3. Preparing graduates to understand and apply the principles of environmental sustainability in the design and implementation in civil engineering projects and resource. 4. Encouraging graduates to pursue continuous learning and professional development through participation in workshops, conferences and trainings in their specialties. 5. Preparing graduates to participate effectively in different building and construction aspects in Saudi Arabia. The General Objectives of the Program. In addition to the general objectives stated in Article Four of the Unified Regulations for Postgraduate Studies in Universities, the philosophy and objectives of the proposed program must be mentioned, and must include the points in accordance with what is stated in the first paragraph of Article Eight referred to in the Unified Regulations, for example, but not limited to: 1. Providing scientific personnel in various civil engineering specialties related to proposed program in order to achieve self-reliance in the future. 2. Enriching and consolidating current scientific concepts by conducting studies and research in building and construction fields adopting cutting edge techniques. 3. Developing and strengthening the current bachelor's program in civil engineering. 4. Integration with other specializations that serve the local and regional societies generally in civil engineering field. 5. Achieving scientific cooperation between Jazan University and other local and international universities by implementing joint scientific research projects.
