With Jazan University’s objective of achieving distinction and predominance in all educational aspects, the University administration has been keen to establish all its faculties and deanships in accordance with the foundations, standards and conditions of quality and academic accreditation. Hence, the College of Education was established with the aim of contributing to supporting the scientific development process in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while keeping pace with the developments in the field of teaching and learning.

The college’s vision is to become a pioneering institution for knowledge and learning, contributing to the promotion, and advancement of the citizens in accordance with legitimate and national principles and values ​​and strengthening communication at the Arab and global level in the field of education and human resources development. Therefore, the college has strived to achieve the following goals:

• Pride in Islam, instilling the concept of moderation in the contemporary and future generations, and developing a spirit of loyalty and pride in the homeland, and its preservation and development.
• Spreading the spirit of dialogue, developing constructive communication skills, and developing a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
• Preparing the citizens in line with scientific and technical progress.
• Introducing programs to prepare teachers – whether at the bachelor’s or general diploma level – and qualify them for teaching in the general education stages, early childhood education, and special education, and preparing professionals responsible for the development of human resources.
• Introducing postgraduate programs with the aim of providing scientific graduates in specializations for the offered programs (Master of Education specializing in Educational Administration, Master of Education specializing in psychological counseling) to achieve self-sufficiency in the future and expand the opening of similar programs in other specializations.
• Enriching and consolidating current scientific concepts by undertaking studies and research that seek to advance theoretical and applied knowledge by pursuing the scientific method of research.
• Providing professional services and consultations to governmental and private sector in the field of education.

• Designing and building educational curricula, in accordance with approved standards, which contribute to improving the outcomes of the educational process.
• Attracting distinguished international expertise and competencies in the field of education from inside and outside the Kingdom, holding meetings and organizing workshops that contribute to the development of the educational process in the Kingdom.
• The mission of the college is summarized in the preparation of a superior graduate, an educated person who is aware of his heritage and civilization, is committed to the ethics of the profession, is equipped with knowledge, skill and technical competencies, and has the ability to conduct quality scientific research, and provides professional services in the field of education and human resources development, in order to meet the demands of society.

Within the framework of the college’s constant keenness to achieve its ambitious goals, it has endeavored to keep abreast of everything new in the field of employing education, information and communication technologies in the teaching and learning processes, especially in light of its postgraduate programs, as the college – by the grace of God – was one of the first colleges to introduce masters degree programs in Jazan University.

The success achieved by the College of Education is a form of development and an initiative in the steps aimed at developing education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was to support His Excellency the President of the University and His Excellency the Vice-President for Academic Affairs and their care for the student with a clear optimistic vision, an important factor for his prosperity and development in quantity and quality, and we pray to God Almighty to keep us steadfast on our path towards excellence in order to achieve our noble mission to the best of our abilities.
