Jazan Governor: The University has made notable contributions in supporting coffee production

His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan Region, praised the university’s pioneering role in supporting coffee production and the distinction of its initiatives and research projects to develop coffee cultivation. He appreciated the efforts of its researchers and professors in supporting and promoting sustainable agricultural projects through research and scientific studies.
This came during his visit to the University’s pavilion at the ninth coffee festival held in Al-Daer Governorate, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad, Deputy Governor of the region.
They were received by the Jazan University President, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Rasin, the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Ibrahim Qasadi, and the Supervisor of the Center for Research and Environmental Studies, Dr. Zarraq Al-Fayfi.
The Governor of the region was briefed on the university’s pavilion and the most prominent environmental and agricultural research carried out by the Environmental Research and Studies Center, and listened to an explanation from Dr. Al-Fayfi, about the center’s role in supporting coffee farmers and developing their capabilities through the implementation of many workshops and training courses that targeted the correct scientific methods for coffee cultivation to achieve the highest quality in production and increase the yield according to scientific standards.
