With the start of the first day of the academic year 1444 AH - 2023 AD, the Samtah Applied College held a welcome program for its new students, which was divided into two parts, in-person and remotely, to achieve maximum benefit. The first part of the program aimed to introduce the university and the college. The second part, implemented "remotely", also aimed to introduce the student to electronic services and the university's electronic systems and how to benefit from them. The program was opened with verses from the Holy Quran followed by several paragraphs to introduce Jazan University and its colleges, as well as the applied colleges.
After that, Her Excellency the Dean of the Applied College in Samtah, Dr. Mead bint Ali Siddiq, spoke to the new students, welcoming them and congratulating them and encouraging them to serve this dear country. She also wished them a career full of achievements and successes. After that, a number of programs and activities that the student can engage in and benefit from were introduced. Finally, the list of student rights and duties at Jazan University was reviewed. An introductory tour was also made for the students around the college facilities.
