About department
The Department of Mathematics is one of the basic departments in Al-Darb University College, and it was established in 1431-1432 AH. Since its establishment, it seeks to adopt the best methods of teaching its subjects, including working to teach mathematics skills correctly and strengthening the students' abilities in logical thinking. It also seeks to draw a road map to guide the development processes at the level of female students and faculty members. From its inception until today, the department has witnessed a remarkable growth in the number of female students.
Vision:
Excellence in different fields of mathematics science to achieve competitiveness at the level of the Kingdom and the region through its research, teaching and community service.
Mission:
To produce a cadre of scientific researchers to enrich advanced mathematical sciences and their allied applications to serve the vibrant society in view of KSA Vision 2030.
Mathematics Program Goals:
- To produce generalized problem solvers of considerable versatility, capable of modeling mathematical applications in real world situations.
- To study advanced mathematical and statistical principles to enhance problem solving, data analytics and decision-making skills.
- To promote the pursuit of cutting-edge scientific research in mathematics and its allied applications to address social demands.
- To provide training in technical writing for the project and research outputs, ensuring adherence to standards in scientific communication and facilitating research collaboration.
