Research & Innovation Committee Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

To formulate policy and procedure on all research related matters which impact on the strategic objectives of the College/ Department.
To create a conducive environment for promotion of Research & Innovation activities in the department.
To encourage faculty members to apply for Major, Minor Research Projects, Incubation, Design and innovation Centers at the University level.
To ensure smooth functioning and effective Management of Research & Innovation activities at the department.
To promote collaborative research among different industry and university within KSA and overseas.
To strengthen industry – institute interaction by promoting consultancy, testing and need based research & innovation activities in the institute.
Circulate information (e.g. lists, forms, requirements, etc.) about organizations which provide research funds/support.
Circulate information about different sources of scientific knowledge (online access to textbooks, research articles, SDLC, etc.).
Arrange meetings with the respective members and write minutes of meetings/reports i.e. actions taken, actions planned, status of assigned tasks, etc.
Prepare and maintain a proper record (hard and/or soft copies) of all the relevant documents.
Coordinate and provide required documents to other committees, focus groups, program coordinator or QAU, when necessary.
