About the Department

Introduction :

The department of MIS offers 4 years bachelor program in management information systems. It provides students with a strong knowledge base on the concepts of modern information technology applications to increase the efficiency and productivity of institutions and companies by providing courses that range in educational levels from foundational to advanced so that the student can benefit from information systems and their applications in administrative work related to the Labor market.

The major is suitable for students who have a creative and innovative bent of mind and wish to provide a tangible and distinct addition to institutions and businesses of all kinds. In addition to the fact that the specialization enables you to deal with computers, but it also enables you to deal and interact with all kinds of people inside and outside the institution. The program will help students understand the fundamentals of information technology and systems, and how to use them to solve business problems from the ground level up, or add a competitive value for institutions in ways that could not be done without the use of information systems. This specialization will help them achieve career progression to reach the highest levels of their careers.

using a range of MIS tools for informed business decisions

  • Select the appropriate and latest MIS tools for catering business information needs
  • Apply system development methodologies in identifying and/or anticipating the

business need and designing the feasible solutions for real world business applications.

  • Evaluate strategic impact of MIS and emerging technologies and manage MIS

resources.

  • Use of the most appropriate information and communications technology in gathering,

interpreting and communicating information and ideas.

  • Communicate, orally and in writing, information systems solutions to the various

stakeholders.

  • Show effective self-management in terms of time, planning and behavior, motivation,

self- starting, and enterprising

  • Collaborate in a team to manage complex information-based business projects to
