Ms. Poonam Bhargav has been a lecturer at Jazan University since August 2012. She is working in the department of computer science at the college of engineering and computer science. She holds a Masters in Technology (Computer Science) degree from Banasthali University, India. She also qualified the National Eligibility Test for Lectureship in Computer Science, conducted by the University Grant Commission, Government of India.

She carries 19 years of academic experience. Prior to Jazan University, she worked at engineering colleges in India and as expert faculty at a polytechnic college in Nepal through the Government of India.

Her research area includes Machine learning applications in healthcare. She has been granted two patents, one from the Government of Australia and the other from the Government of India.
