The Student Affairs Deans’ Committee holds its 17th meeting virtually
The Committee of Deans of Student Affairs at the Kingdom’s universities held its seventeenth meeting chaired by the Deputy Head of Ministry of University Education, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Khorayef, and in the presence of committee members and Deans of Student Affairs in Saudi universities.
Dr. Al-Khorayef thanked the wise leadership for the sponsorship and support that university education enjoys that enabled universities to fulfill their role and mission. He mentioned the important role played by the Student Affairs Deans’ Committee through the exchange of experiences and cooperation among universities to serve their students and enhance and develop the programs offered to them.
While the Secretary-General of the Committee of Deans of Student Affairs in Saudi universities and the Dean of Student Affairs at Jazan University, Dr. Othman bin Musa Hakami, explained that the meeting approved many recommendations and proposals that would raise the quality of specific initiatives and student programs, and discussed a number of topics on the agenda. Dr. Hakami explained about the recommendations that were taken, including: Forming a committee to reformulate the rules governing the deans’ committee, reviewing the successful experiences of the student affairs deanships at the Universities of Al-Jouf and Al-Baha in their Sports Academy, developing administrative work in the programs of the Deanship that are offered to students and the procedure for their application in other universities. King Abdulaziz prepared the report and formed a sub-committee to coordinate with the Sports Federation of Saudi Universities in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports. The committee’s secretariat and the Deans of student affairs at King Saud University and Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman were authorized to coordinate student trips abroad and approve the establishment of the first forum for university student clubs virtually organized by King Khalid University.
