President of Jazan University: Amending the gratuity regulations and the unified classification of majors embody the leadership’s support for education and employees
His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz AlSaud and to His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence – may God preserve them – and to His Excellency the Minister of Education Dr. Hammad bin Muhammad Al AlSheikh, on the approval to amend the end-of-service benefits for faculty members, which includes a reward for those who have completed 20 years in their service in the position: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and the decision to approve the unified Saudi classification for educational levels and specializations.
His Excellency said that the decision to amend the end of service gratuity comes within the leadership’s interest, may God preserve them, in the national academic staff in universities in recognition of their efforts. The President expressed his thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership on behalf of all faculty members at the university.
His Excellency added that the decision to adopt the unified Saudi classification of educational levels and specializations from the highest level constitutes an essential and important step in the process of linking the professions, specializations and educational levels, and knowing the least or most in demand skills for the labor market. It also provides an important base for planning and designing programs in harmony with the labor market as per the employment opportunities. It contributes to raising the academic standards and organizing educational programs and specialisations efficiently.
