Jazan University ranks first in the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum

Jazan University achieved first place in the of social support track for humanitarian work and sustainable development for their application which helps parents in dealing with autistic children. The University participated in the Third Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum organized in partnership with the United Nations from 20 to 21 February 2023.
His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Court, and Supervisor of the King Salman Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, felicitated the team, headed by the Team Supervisor, Dr. Awatef Al-Obaid, and the university students: Ohood Hassan, Asmaa Asiri, and Samira Shaafi, and the participants with the application of “Taifna”. It is an application that helps parents learn the correct way to deal with their autistic children.
The application contributes to providing many services, which include providing communication with specialized counselors, communicating with other families, exchanging experiences on how to deal with autism spectrum disorder, and providing links to applications that help people on the autism spectrum.
For his part, His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, congratulated the employees of the university and the students who won this award. Dr. Al-Qahtani stated that it is a matter of pride for all of us, and that the University has taken accelerated steps in improving the skills of its graduates, and qualifying its students in the scientific and research field, which resulted in the university’s winning such awards. In this achievement and in this innovation, the President stressed that the University's programs and scientific curricula contribute to keeping pace with the Kingdom's vision in the areas of innovation, community participation and scientific research.
