Ratings

Regarding the latest of these international achievements and rankings, the university ranked 7 among Saudi universities and 401 at the international level in the "Times" 2023 classification, and ranked 91 at the level of Arab universities in the "QS" classification, and in the "SCIMAGO" classification, the university ranked 12 at the university level in Saudi Arabia, and 44th place among Arab universities and 88th in the Middle Eastern universities.

Comparisons

In the British "Nature" index for research quality 2022, the university achieved the 11th place in the number of research and the 13th place in the quality of research, and the results of scientific research came in 2022 compared to 2017 in the Scopus index. Scientific publication increased by 250%, and citations increased by 328%. Scientific research in 2022 compared to 2017 in the Web of Science, an increase in scientific publication by 425%, and citations increased by 782%.

First positions

The university topped in scientific publishing on the Coronavirus pandemic, as the University was among the first 10 among Saudi universities as it published 220 research papers, and we also achieved 4th place among Saudi universities in cancer research with more than 420 research papers.

Initiatives

The university launched the first student volunteer team to confront Coronavirus, and established a center for Covid-19 vaccines in the university hospital with a capacity of 105 clinics, and launched 70 mobile centers to administer the vaccines in the various governorates of the Jazan region.

Accreditation

Jazan University has achieved full institutional accreditation from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission for its programs, including obtaining institutional academic accreditation by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation, and this comes in recognition of the quality of its academic, administrative and research initiatives.
