Jazan University launches the initiative "Jazan Healthy Winter" at Jizan’s Northern Corniche

Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya Arishi, confirmed that the University adopts all community services, programs and initiatives, and appreciates the active contributions of university employees in various disciplines. It also works to inculcate the concept of community service and build awareness of its importance.

This came during his inauguration this evening at the Northern Corniche of the "Jazan Healthy Winter" initiative, represented by the University Hhospital, which aims to provide basic health services in the areas of awareness, education and primary care.

While the Director of the Academic Affairs and Training Department at the University Hospital and the Supervisor of the initiative, Dr. Ihab Al-Amir, explained that these services are provided through two parallel tracks.

The first track: primary care and the provision of services to beneficiaries, a family and community medicine clinic, a vaccination clinic and laboratories, an xray laboratory and a vertebrae examination, blood testing.

And the second track: awareness and health education. And the service is provided through the departments of nutrition, psychological counseling, physiotherapy, nursing, pharmacy, and drug counseling.

It is noteworthy that more than 60 male and female volunteers participated in this initiative, which provides a range of consultation and educational services, in addition to a number of seminars prepared by the College of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, represented by the Health Education and Promotion Department.
