Under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, the Technical and Scientific Researches Forum and its future prospects was launched this morning in its first edition under the slogan "Challenges and Possibilities in the Scientific and Technical Research System" at the auditorium of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology in the University City.

The forum started with a discussion session that dealt with investment opportunities in the field of technical research and scientific innovations, in which speakers from among the faculty members at the university participated.

After that, the workshops followed, covering various topics on challenges and opportunities in the fields of cybersecurity, the fourth industrial revolution, economic production based on innovations and scientific research, and national efforts to support technical research and innovations in this vital field.

The forum concluded with a technical exhibition that contained the most prominent achievements and innovations of faculty members and students from the college.

At the end of the forum, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Dr. Musa Khobrani, who supervised the forum committees, thanked His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, for his directives and continuous follow-up of the success of the forum. He added that everyone hopes with confidence to see the results of the forum soon on the ground to serve this blessed country, and he also extended his sincere thanks to the Vice presidents for their continuous follow-up and keenness, to all the fellow deans for their support, and to all the members of the committees who worked on the event preparations and its accompanying activities.
