Jazan University: Media Department

Jazan University achieved second place in the football championship that witnessed the participation of universities and institutions of higher education in the 9^th GCC countries sports championship, which was hosted by Hammad bin Khalifa University in Doha. The event was from 03 to 11 February 2023, and (16) Saudi universities participated in it. Jazan University won the bronze medal in the 200-meter race, won by Fahd Khobrani, while Abdullah Shami won the best player award in the football tournament.

The university delegation was headed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Yahya bin Ali Faqihi, who explained that this achievement came with the grace of God Almighty and the unlimited support of the university administration and the efforts exerted for the success of student activities.

Dr. Faqihi confirmed that the Deanship of Student Affairs was keen to provide the opportunity for university students to gain more expertise and experiences in various fields that help them refine their personalities, develop their skills, expand their circle of interests, and encourage communication between students and their colleagues the field of sports and cultural activities.

Dr. Faqihi expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, for the unlimited support that the Deanship of Student Affairs enjoys in all programs and events.
