His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, chaired the University Council in its fourth session for the academic year 1444 AH in the University Council Hall in the presence of Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, Secretary-General for Universities Council Affairs, and members of the University Council.

The Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, explained that the council took a number of decisions, including appointing a number of Saudi faculty members. 32 male and female members have been promoted to the rank of assistant professor, and 7 at the rank of lecturer. 53 teaching assistants and lecturers have been approved to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in various specializations, and 8 postgraduate students have been conferred with their master's degrees. The board of directors of the Student Fund at Jazan University was finalized, and the regulations for selecting students for membership in the Board of Directors of the Student Fund at Jazan University was decided in accordance with the regulations governing student funds In universities, and adding two members to the membership of the permanent committee to supervise university investments, and to approve some research, academic, administrative and financial topics.
