Workshop on "The Contribution of the Arabic Language to Human Civilization" at Jazan University

The Acting Vice President of Jazan University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya Arishi, inaugurated the University's celebration of the International Arabic Language Day 2022, organized by the College of Arts and Humanities under the title "The Contribution of Arabic Language to Human Civilization and Culture" this morning in the college auditorium.
Dr. Al-Arishi stressed the keenness of the leadership - may God preserve it - on the Arabic language, as it is the language of true religion, the language of science and civilization, and the language of generations, indicating that the university is keen on the participation of its students in observing this celebration and to work towards spreading awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving it.
The head of the Arabic language department, Dr. Majali Kareiri, informed in his speech that the Arabic language developed from the language of poetry and prose after the revelation of the Qur’an and the entry of Islam into the language of civilization, science and arts, and became a sophisticated and advanced international language. After that, many speeches were presented that included poems and prose words by College students and faculty members.
The event concluded with a scientific workshop presented by members of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, in which they talked about the civilized aspect of the Arabic language and its contributions to human civilization. It was moderated by Dr. Ahmed Alloush, with the participation of Dr. Yahya Mubaraki, Dr. Tanweer Hindi, Dr. Aisha Shamakhi and Dr. Rashida Makhzoum.
