The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, inaugurated a workshop on "Clinical Trials Regulations" organized by the Department of Clinical Nutrition at the College of Applied Medical Sciences and in cooperation with the Food and Drug Authority this morning at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology and the College of Engineering auditorium. 
Dr. Abu Rasin welcomed the guests and participants, and stated that the University is conducting scientific studies and research that require legislation, rules and regulations, and controlling the clinical practices. 
The Head of the Clinical Nutrition Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sayegh, explained the importance of the workshop, and the varied topics that shall be covered, which included regulations for clinical trials on drugs, regulations for clinical trials on medical supplies and devices, and the foundations of good clinical practice. We hope to make maximum use of it to improve the outcomes of clinical research.
