Jazan University: Media Department

Jazan University President Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani received a KAUST delegation headed by KAUST President Dr. Tony Chan, accompanied by KAUST Vice President for Government Affairs Mr. Sulaiman Mohammed Al-Thunayan, and a number of KAUST employees in the presence of Jazan Univresity Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Mohammed Ma’ashi and Vice President for Student Affairs (Female Section) Dr. Fatima Aqili this morning at the Senior Management Tower in the University City.

His Excellency the President of the University expressed his happiness with this visit, stressing the importance of cooperation between the two universities with regard to academic and program development and student training, presenting an overview of Jazan University, its colleges, students and faculty members, and its most prominent academic achievements.

For his part, KAUST President Dr. Chan expressed his happiness with what he saw during his tour of a number of facilities in the University City, expressing his admiration for the distinguished location of the university city and the development achieved by the University, praising the role played by the university under the leadership of its President, Vice Presidents and all its employees in development and community service, and the excellence it has achieved in academic and program accreditations, and obtaining advanced positions in the international universities rankings and scientific research publications.

The delegation's itinerary included a tour of a number of colleges, starting with a visit to the College of Engineering, then the College of Business Administration, the Entrepreneurship Unit, then the College of Medicine, and concluded with a tour of the University hotel "Grand Millennium".
