Jazan University: Administration

Jazan University is participating in the Sustainable Partnerships Conference held by the Ministry of Education under the slogan "Research and Innovation towards a Prosperous Economy". Jazan University will be represented by elite members of the University's faculty, on 29-30 November, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh.

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, stated that the conference aims to link the research and innovation system in universities with the industrial and development sector, build sustainable knowledge economies, strengthen the scientific research and innovation system, and contribute to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

He pointed out that the University will contribute through its faculty members in presenting a number of workshops at the conference.

The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Rasin, explained that the Director of the Substance Abuse and Toxicology Research Center at the University, Dr. Hassan Al-Hazmi, will present the first workshop.

 Also, two faculty members at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the university, Dr. Bassem Abu Mismar and Dr. Issa Al-Hazmi, will present the second workshop during which they shall review the experience of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the process of establishing and supporting Scientific research, development and innovation, and comparing the local experience with examples of pioneering experiences across the world in the same field.
