Jazan University Council appoints and approves scholarships for 43 faculty members

His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, chaired the Council of Jazan University in its second session for the academic year 1444 AH this morning in the University Council Hall in the Administrative Tower, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, Secretary-General of the Council of Universities Affairs, University Vice Presidents, Deans and Vice Deans of Colleges and Supporting Deanships.

The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, explained that the council was briefed on the work of the session and took a number of decisions, including: Appointment of 11 Saudi faculty members, the approval of scholarship requests, continuation and transfer of (32) teaching assistants and lecturers, both male and female to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in different disciplines, the granting of scientific degrees to (15) male and female postgraduate students, approval of the executive rules governing the financial affairs in universities, approval of the executive rules for the study and examination regulations for the undergraduate level, approval of the rules of student conduct and discipline, approval of the proposal of the College of Pharmacy to grant a training certificate to graduates of a master’s program (Applied Toxicology) in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, approval of a guide on Investment opportunities and the plan for the first investment phase of Jazan University, approval of a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing to market the university’s investment opportunities through the (Foras) platform, approval of some research, academic and student topics.
