The Cross Country Athletic Championship for Saudi Universities concludes at Jazan University

The Cross Country Athletic Championship for Saudi Universities, hosted by Jazan University and organized by the Saudi Universities Sports Federation, concluded its thirteenth season under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan.

King Saud University were crowned champions, while King Khalid University grabbed the second position, Qassim University were placed third, Jazan University at fourth place, and Al-Jouf University at fifth.

The results of the individual race were as follows: runners Ismail Musa Abdul Rahman, Muhammad Walid Al Yahya, and Abu Bakr Ishaq from King Saud University achieved the first three places.

The President of the Sports Federation of Saudi Universities, Dr. Khaled Al-Muzaini, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, the Dean of Student Affairs at Jazan University, Dr. Yahya Faqihi, and the Director of the Championship, Dr. Abdulelah Salwi, crowned the winners of the team events and individual competitions, as well as presenting the shields and gold, silver and bronze medals and honoured the referees of the tournament.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Sports Federation of Saudi Universities and the Director of the Championship, Dr. Abdulelah Salwi, thanked and appreciated Jazan University, headed by His Excellency the President and Vice Presidents of the University, and the Dean of Student Affairs for the great success achieved by the tournament in terms of technical and organizational aspects. He praised the great efforts made by the university administration to prepare the venue for the race and the prize distribution ceremonies, and completing all arrangements for the successful completion of the race. He congratulated the winners, the athletes and universities, while wishing better luck to those who did not succeed.
