Jazan University participates in exhibition organized by Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on World Food Day

As part of the World Food Day activities and under the patronage of the Governor of Jazan Region, Prince Muhammad bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Jazan University represented by the Clinical Nutrition Department of the College of Applied Medical Sciences participated in the event, which was titled “Do not leave anyone behind.”
An awareness booth was set up at the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on World Food Day. It was coordinated by faculty members and students of the Clinical Nutrition Department, who presented publications related to healthy food, methods of cooking and proper storage.
They also presented nutritional needs and the most prominent health problems related to food such as malnutrition, obesity, and diabetes and nutritional treatment for them.
Professor Abdul Rahman Al-Busaili explained that Jazan University aimed to participate in raising awareness about the importance of providing safe food and promoting healthy eating habits in all segments of society for a better healthy life. He noted the role of the university students in this participation in delivering the message to the community.
